چکیده
Biodegradable textiles made from cellulose, the most abundant biopolymer, have gained attention researchers, due to ease with which cellulose can be chemically modified introduce multifunctional groups, and because of its renewable biodegradable nature. One attractive features required for civilian military applications is flame-retardancy. This review focuses on various methods employed fabrication cellulose-based flame-retardant cotton along their developed properties over last few years. The common method merge N, S, P, Si-based polymeric, non-polymeric, polymeric/non-polymeric hybrids, inorganic, organic/inorganic hybrids fabricate textiles. In these studies, was bonded flame-retardants or in some cases, were coated by flame-retardants. investigated determined methods, including limiting oxygen index (LOI), vertical flame test, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), cone calorimetry. demonstrates potential applications.

A review of flame retardant polypropylene fibres
Flame retardants for polypropylene (PP) and their potential suitability for use in fibre applications are reviewed. Five principal types of generic flame retardant systems for inclusion in polypropylene fibres have been identified as phosphoruscontaining, halogen-containing, silicon-containing, metal hydrate and oxide and the more recently developed nanocomposite flame retardant formulations. متن کاملSuperoleophobic cotton textiles.
Common cotton textiles are hydrophilic and oleophilic in nature. Superhydrophobic cotton textiles have the potential to be used as self-cleaning fabrics, but they typically are not super oil-repellent. Poor oil repellency may easily compromise the self-cleaning property of these fabrics. Here, we report on the preparation of superoleophobic cotton textiles based on a multilength-scale structure...
متن کاملPreparation of Flame Retardant Cotton Fabric Using Environmental Friendly Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
Due to its environmentally benign character, supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) is considered in green chemistry, as a substitute for organic solvents in chemical reactions. In this paper, an innovative approach for preparation of flame retardant cotton fabric was obtained by utilizing supercritical carbon dioxide with co-solvent. A novel phosphorusnitrogen containing piperazine derivative, t...
متن کاملEffect of Oxygen Plasma Pretreatment and Titanium Dioxide Overlay Coating on Flame Retardant Finished Cotton Fabrics
Flammability properties of plasma pretreated cotton fabrics subjected to flame-retardant treatment were studied. Plasma pretreatment, using an atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ), was applied to cotton fabrics to enhance material properties, while retaining inherent advantages of the substrates. An organic phosphorus compound (flame-retardant agent, FR) together with a melamine resin (crossl...
متن کاملIntumescent flame-retardant and self-healing superhydrophobic coatings on cotton fabric.
Flame-retardant and self-healing superhydrophobic coatings are fabricated on cotton fabric by a convenient solution-dipping method, which involves the sequential deposition of a trilayer of branched poly(ethylenimine) (bPEI), ammonium polyphosphate (APP), and fluorinated-decyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (F-POSS). When directly exposed to flame, such a trilayer coating generates a poro...
